There is nothing like a few ladybugs, some pinecones and a couple of dandelions to feed the curiosity of a sweet baby girl. We live in a different world these days. One filled with tablets, smart phones and to a lesser extent, tv. Quite different from the world each of us parents grew up in. I am not sure I can say it is worse. Technology brings about so many benefits. But I guess it is this same modern area that makes me more aware of the simple pleasures and the innocence of little kids. From the temptations of a puddle filled with rain water, to the wrinkly noise and texture of warping paper after Christmas presents are opened, the world is filled with little yet simply wonderful new things for these little explorers. As a photographer of young families, I often think I am quite lucky because it really does not take much to engage curious minds into play. Prickly pinecones and needle leaves are, all of a sudden, filled with enchantment especially when looked at with the aid of a magnifying glass. A few homeless ladybugs could indeed attract the attention of a child for quite a while. Even the fragile dandelions become magical as it just takes one gentle blow to make them disappear. Really the possibilities for amazement are endless. How wonderful is that?
I love the sweetness of this family photography session. Just a simple moment captured with mom and dad and all the wonders of a field full of tall grass and trees. This princess is as beautiful as her momma. I am sure daddy is quite proud of them both. Thank you so much for allowing me to capture this candid moments. I am sure they will be memories you will all cherish forever.
